Malt

Cargill’s Malt business unit is one of the largest malt manufacturers in the world, with a volume of 1.5 million tons per annum. It has facilities in 9 countries in Europe and America and supplies malt to the main brewery groups worldwide.

Its activity in Spain began in 1990, with the purchase of two maltings. After modernisation, the malting in Villaverde (Madrid) produces 100,000 tons of malt. Completely automated, this plant uses the most advanced techniques to supply the quality required by our clients, as well as the technical support they need.

European headquarters are in Belgium, as well as the European Technical Centre that supports our factories and clients.

Since 1994, Cargill Malt holds the ISO 9001 certificate.
